If it ain't broke, don’t fix it. Asic Kayano 27's & 28’s.

I’ve clocked thousands of kilometers across three trusty pairs, pounding the limestone paths of Kwinana Loop Trail, Serpentine & Mundijong trails and multiple park runs.

The gel kayanos have been around since 93 ( I was born in 92) so a long time …

The Asics Kayano has been my ride-or-die running shoe for years, the older versions?

Pure gold.

I’ve clocked thousands of kilometers across three trusty pairs, pounding the limestone paths of Kwinana Loop Trail, Serpentine & Mundijong trails and multiple park runs.

Their plush cushioning and rock-solid stability hug my feet just right, making every stride feel smooth, whether I’m tackling rolling hills or cruising through a recovery run.

The Kayanos have this perfect balance, supportive without being clunky, durable enough to handle Perth’s moderate trails and comfy for those long 50+km weeks.

I rotate my trio to keep them fresh, each pair racking up stories from Parkruns, coastal loops, and solo sunrise sessions.

The grippy soles chew up loose gravel, and the breathable mesh keeps my feet cool even when the WA sun cranks up.

Sure, they’re not the flashiest kicks anymore, but they’re like old mates, longevity, value for money, reliable, no drama.

I snag deals on older models to stock up, saving cash while sticking with what works.

For any Perth runners chasing a shoe that can handle high mileage and mixed terrain, hunt down those classic Kayanos.
